I am a beginner at furniture making, but willing to try anything. I have started with tables and mirrors. Once I become good at them, I will move on. I like to incorporate tile in any of my creations.

This is my umbrella table. It has a slot in the center for a market umbrella. I painted it light blue, but may still change the color. It was a lot of fun to make.
This is one of a pair of chairs I made for our bedroom porch.
This is a side table for inside or patio. I have used Talavera tile for the top. The wood has been faux painted to resemble marble.
The border tiles are blue, pink and ivory and the center tiles are navy.
To adjust for large gap in the edge tile, I used glass discs.
This is my second table and a little more detailed. It is painted forest green and is a side table.
The top is made like a frame and the cracked tiles inserted into no particular pattern. I used regular ceramic tiles with sanded pewter colored grout.
This mirror is made on a plywood base, then the mirror is secured with an adhesive. A frame is place around the mirror to become a base for the tiles. I had to cut tiles for this mirror, but according to the size I used, 3x6 tiles would have fit perfect. Then the tiles were secured and grouted in place. They were then painted with permanent tile paints using Mexican designs.
This mirror is made same as the one above using the 3x6 Talavera tiles.
